Dear Dad: A Tribute Experience is an immersive, multi-sensory event designed to celebrate, uplift, and reframe the narrative of Black fatherhood. Held at The Atelier in Newark, NJ, this experience combined visual art, community, storytelling, film, and curated installations to honor the presence, impact, and legacy of fathers and father figures in our communities.
Through a blend of interactive displays--including Fathers in Focus, Soundtrack of Dad, Beyond the Stereotype, The Gentleman's Touch, Rooted in Bloom, Notes of Him, and more. Guests engaged with powerful stories that challenge harmful stereotypes and affirm the emotional depth, leadership, and love of Black fathers.
This project was intentionally designed to foster connection, spark conversation, and create space for healing through art, design, and experience-driven storytelling.
